The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District is giving out incentives to go cleaner! If you are going from a non-EPA certified device to an EPA certified wood or pellet product (and do not have access to natural gas) they are giving $1,000 or $2,500 for low income. Going from any wood or pellet to any gas heating products they are giving out $2,650 for a standard application or $4,150 for low income!! The rebate covers Lodi to Bakersfield and Tracy to Oakdale.

Biomass Tax Credit
**8-1-25 — Please note that the BioMass Tax Credit only lasts until the end of this year 2025. Anything purchased after 2025 will not qualify for a tax credit**
From January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025, taxpayers who install qualifying wood and pellet stoves can receive a 30% tax credit up to $2,000 annually, based on the full cost (purchase and installation) of the unit. This new credit includes second homes.
Eligible EPA Certified stoves have a “thermal efficiency of at least 75% per the higher heating value (HHV) of the fuel” (HPBA). These clean burning, low emission stoves stoves are a powerful, clean heating choice for residential homes.
Please note consumers will need to consult with their Tax Advisor to confirm their eligibility for this Tax Credit.
